At the HTW Chur, the following degree programmes and further education can be done in information science:

Degree programmes:

Bachelor's Course

The bachelor's course is a compact and practical course and is aimed at all who are interested in working with media of all kinds. The HTW offers a full-time course (Chur, standard period of study: 6 semesters) and a part-time course (Chur or Zurich, standard period of study: 8 semesters). After completing the fourth semester, students attend an eight-week internship at an "Information & Documentation" institution. Aspects of information literacy are taught in a separate module. The course concludes with a bachelor thesis.

Degree:
Graduates receive the title "Bachelor of Science in Information Science FHO" with the indication of the respective speciality.

Master's Course

The consecutive master's degree course generally requires a university degree in information science. The master's course is a part-time program over 4 semesters. It offers two majors in Asset Management and Information Design and is rated at 90 ECTS. Aspects of information literacy are taught in the module Information Search and Behaviour. The course concludes with a master thesis.

Degree:
Graduates receive the title "Master of Science in Information Science FHO" with the indication of the respective speciality.

Further Education

MAS in Information Science: This course is primarily aimed at people who have completed a course of study outside of information science and want to change their career direction into the field of archives, libraries, documentation or museum.

Degree:
Master of Advanced Studies FHO in Information Science.

CAS Museum Work: Museum staff and management, professional people from other professions with an intercept to the museum world or newcomers to museum work find appropriate training opportunities here.

Degree:
Graduates receive an internationally recognized  Certificate of Advanced Studies. The certificate is rated at 16 ECTS credits. The course can be counted as part of the MAS in Information Science.

CAS Digitizing: The CAS Digitalizing course is aimed at graduates who wish to attain specific additional qualifications in the field of digitizing and the management of audio-visual media.

Degree:
Graduates of the CAS course receive the title „Certificate of Advanced Studies in Digitalizing FHO“.
