The Faculty of Arts of the University of Zurich, in cooperation with the Zurich Central Library, offers a MAS Library and Information Science continuing education program. Various majors can be occupied or, if space is available, only individual modules can be visited.

Degree:

• Master of Advanced Studies (MAS: 60 ECTS)
• Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS: 34 ECTS)
• Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS: from 10 ECTS)
• Confirmation of participation for individual models

The MAS program is run alongside employment. It is expected that the necessary practice should have been acquired during the completion of an R+D course. After completion of the MAD degree program, graduates are qualified to exercise technical and leadership roles in R+D institutions or to pursue their own research projects.

The study program is divided into four basic and seven advanced modules. The advanced module for Information Literacy includes 36 lectures and has a 4 ECTS rating.

The course is conducted every two years (starting in odd years). The course is open to all with a university degree (licentiate or master) and an activity of at least 50% in a library or other "Information & Documentation" institution.
