The University of Fribourg, in collaboration with the University of Geneva offers a CAS in Documentation and Library Management  course with 16 ECTS.

The course is offered in French and consists of four modules each held over 6 days, which corresponds to a 24 day course. Each module provides 45 lessons on a specific topic. The training is based on interactive forms of teaching that promote the exchanges with students. Thereby didactic teaching, group work, expert lectures, presentations and discussions of case studies are all connected to each other.

The training includes the following general learning objectives:

• Be aware of the latest developments in the library field
• Methods and tools of communication, management and acquire new technologies for quality assurance in  information and document management
• Expand personal skills and knowledge and integrate it into the professional field
• To delve deeper into a theme relevant to your profession with a thesis
• To build a network of contacts in the professional field
